Ethical Approval

Studies involving human participants, human data, or animals must have been carried out in accordance with relevant institutional, national, and international guidelines and regulations. The manuscript must state the name of the approving ethics committee/institutional review board and the approval reference number, or explain why approval was not required. Manuscripts lacking this information where it is applicable will be returned to the authors before proceeding to review.

Citation Style

GJBE uses APA 7th edition style for in-text citations and the reference list. DOIs should be included for all references that have one. Authors are encouraged to use reference management software (e.g. Zotero, Mendeley, EndNote) to ensure consistency.

What to Submit

  • The manuscript file (Word or PDF), with author-identifying information removed from the body text to support double-blind review.
  • A separate title page containing author names, affiliations, and contact details.
  • A cover letter addressing the significance and originality of the work, and confirming the manuscript is not under consideration elsewhere.
  • 3–5 suggested reviewers with their institutional affiliations and email addresses (subject to the journal's discretion — see the Peer Review Policy).
  • An author information sheet, if requested by the editorial office.
  • Any relevant ethics approval documentation or permissions for third-party material.
