Data Availability
The Global Journal of Biosciences and Environment (GJBE) encourages and, where applicable, requires transparency in research data to support reproducibility and the verification of published findings.
General Policy
Authors are encouraged to make the data underlying the findings described in their manuscript fully available, except where this is not possible or appropriate (e.g. for legal, ethical, or privacy reasons, or because the data is proprietary). Authors must include a Data Availability Statement in their manuscript describing how readers can access the underlying data, or explaining why it is not available.
Acceptable Approaches
- Deposit in a recognized public data repository, with the accession number or persistent identifier cited in the manuscript.
- Data provided as supplementary material alongside the article.
- A statement that data is available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request, with any conditions clearly stated.
- Where data cannot be shared, a clear explanation of the legal, ethical, or proprietary restriction.
Retention
Authors should retain raw data and analysis records for a reasonable period following publication (a minimum of five years is recommended) and must be able to produce this data promptly if requested by the editors for verification purposes during peer review or post-publication.
